Course Reflective Narrative:
This course helped me in so many ways, I learned how to improved my spanish writing by learning all the rules about spanish accents. In this course besides learning the rules of grammar, we also learned about the different ways of writing documents, for example: how to write a periodistic news, how to write a critical document, how to write a research paper. We had the opportunity to learned different ways of writings. The part that I enjoyed the most in this class in when we have to picked a theme for a research paper that we were going to present. I like that we had the opportunity to do the research in something that was my own personal interest. During the semester the teacher showed us a movie called “La Cautiva” it was a movie based on a true story and that really caught my interest, because this movie took place in Argentina during the 1970 in which the government made more than 300,000 people disappear and now in present the grandmothers that lost their sons and their grandchildren, they made an organization to find these grandchildren, and they had done an amazing job because they had found 88 grandchildren. I found out this a great opportunity to reach and investigate more about this terrible event that took placed in Argentina; so I did my investigation further in the people that disappear back then and the organization and labor of this brave grandmothers that still are looking for their grandchildren. I liked how the teacher incorporate now only grammar to the class, but also discussions, and presentations. I loved the course because it wasn't only linguistics but also learning about other countries.
