Course Reflective Narrative:
In the introductory class to linguistics helped me to understand phonics morphology, synthesis, among other things. I learned the similarities that all the languages of the world have in terms of phonetics. It was very interesting because the phonetics is like learning another completely new language. This course helped me a lot to better understand my own language and the similarities it has with my second English language. It was very interesting because I got more knowledge about how to help future students who have problems pronouncing certain words. In the future, when I work as a teacher and have my students, thanks to this course I will be able to help them and guide them in terms of doubts or words they have difficulties pronouncing. One of the researches carried out in a group was the different dialects of Spanish in different Latin American countries, such as Colombia, Chile, Argentina, etc. My research was from the Rio Platense dialect of Argentina. It was a very interesting research since we applied what we learned previously in terms of phonetics, morphology ands synthesis. It was an investigation in which you pay close attention in the way you speak and why? It is very interesting everything that has to do with linguistics enjoy this course.
